About Microgreens
What are microgreens?
Microgreens are young vegetable seedlings harvested just after they’ve sprouted their first set of true leaves (typically within 7–14 days). They’re incredibly nutrient-dense and bursting with flavour. Think of them as tiny, powerful versions of your favourite veggies.
How can microgreens benefit me?
Microgreens are nutritional powerhouses, containing significantly higher concentrations of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants compared to their mature counterparts. Their tender texture makes them easier to digest than tougher mature greens, allowing your body to readily absorb their nutrients. They're known to support immunity, digestion, and overall wellbeing. Plus, they're a delicious way to add color, crunch, and freshness to any meal.
Is your farm certified organic?
We grow our microgreens following organic principles - our seeds are untreated and non-GMO, we grow in soil nourished with organic fertilisers, and we never use chemical sprays or pesticides. While we're not yet Certified Organic, we follow these organic practices because we believe in growing the healthiest, most natural microgreens possible. We're committed to pursuing organic certification in the near future.
How do I use microgreens?
Microgreens are incredibly versatile! Toss them into salads, sprinkle over eggs or avo toast, blend into smoothies, or use them as a vibrant garnish on any dish. They’re an easy way to elevate everyday meals — both in taste and nutrition.
There are so many options! Where do I start?
Our mixed microgreen packs are a great place to begin — they offer a selection of our best growers and most popular flavours. If you’re looking for something specific (mild, peppery, crunchy, etc.), we’re happy to help you choose based on your taste preferences or how you plan to use them.
What is the shelf life of your microgreens after purchase?
If stored properly in the fridge in their container, our microgreens typically stay fresh for up to 10 days, with some varieties lasting even longer - our pea shoots are known to last over 3 weeks! For the best taste and nutrition, we recommend enjoying them within the first few days of purchase.
Do I need to wash microgreens before eating them?
Yes, we recommend giving your microgreens a quick rinse before eating them. While we grow in a controlled environment using safe practices, a gentle rinse is always good practice with fresh produce.
I want to grow microgreens at home. Do you sell starter kits?
Not yet, but it's definitely on our radar! For now, we're happy to share growing tips and recommend where to source seeds and supplies - just email us at hello@neighbourhoodgreens.com. We're always listening to what our customers want, so your interest helps us prioritise future products.
Orders, Subscriptions, and Deliveries
What happens after I place my order?
Once you place your order, we’ll begin planting seeds just for you. Since we grow to order, please allow up to two weeks for delivery. We’ll email you within 1–2 business days to confirm your delivery date.
This approach means you get the freshest possible greens—and we think the wait is worth it!
If you’ve subscribed, only your first order will have this 2 week lead time. After that, your microgreens will arrive right on schedule based on your selected delivery cycle.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver throughout Sydney! Orders over $30 qualify for free delivery*, and for smaller orders, we'll calculate the shipping cost based on your address during checkout.
*Free delivery offered within a 30km radius of our farm in Concord. For orders beyond 30km, we'll arrange next-day courier delivery for an additional $17 to ensure you receive the freshest produce possible."
What does a subscription entail?
Our subscription service offers three key benefits: 5% savings on every order, complete flexibility to change varieties or pause/cancel anytime, and regular deliveries (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) so you never run out. Once you sign up, you'll get access to a simple customer portal where you can manage your subscription, swap varieties, and adjust your schedule.
Can I pick up my order instead of having it delivered?
At present we do not offer collections, but it is something we are looking into. We’ll be sure to update this section if collection becomes available.

My order arrived and the microgreens are not fresh / damaged. What should I do?
We want you to be completely satisfied with every order. If your microgreens don't arrive fresh, please email us immediately at hello@neighbourhoodgreens.com - with photos if possible. We stand behind our quality and will send you a replacement ASAP.
